Default Rin Relic/ Diessa Chalice drops.

Currently the demand for both of these items is pretty high, as one can see just by going to Doomlore AD1. However, because very few 600's run Cathedral of Flames anymore and there aren't sufficient rewards to make people want to do this dungeon themselves, the supply is pretty low. If these two items dropped outside of CoF, such as in Rragars, and the Charr storyline quests (including BwB) the supply would level off. Perhaps the special ops missions could offer a bonus of these items as well.

Superb Charr carvings, used for another headpiece, currently drop from all charr in EotN, and even though a lot more are required for the mask they are also cheaper and easier to farm, and have value alone as well.

Discuss.

well i agree and disagree. one thing you take take ineffect are over buyers. over buyers in my view are people who see wtb so and so 1k then will go and do wtb so and so 2k and if you bump your number up they will double or triple it, even if the item isnt worth it. and their are cof runners out their i get maybe 1-3 runs a day. you just have to type fast.

i dont think they should put the rin/chalices anywhere else. they and the crappy end chest are the only reason its a 2k run and not 12-20k like rrragers. and i do run it i just dont run people. i been in cof runs and know all to sadly people are idiots. they run into your agro bubble, dont bring heals, dont bring lod and some run through portal before everyone is ready. lost a few elite tomes and offer goodies that way. D: but this is my view.

GW market System 1 on 1. Demand High + Supply Low = High Prices --> if they become High Enough people will start farming them again --> supply and demand evens out. in the end. its all gooood

1. They are meant to be difficult to get, in order for the headpieces to remain special.
2. There are many CoF runners. If none are around when you can spend an hour doing CoF, then create a monk or rit and run it with heroes by yourself.
3. It is not necessary to "type" the runner's name, just copy/paste, it is much quicker.

Rin Relics used to cost upwards of 30k/ea. I guess I really don't have sympathy for those who either...

1. Can't be bothered to farm them themselves.
2. Are unwilling to break the 2k/ea(?) cap and try say...5k to coax sellers.

It's not like these don't drop anymore, they just require some actual work to get without a 600 army grinding CoF.

There's always a 600 army grinding CoF. Always. There are no end of nooby 600's, and they always start there.

The demand for both of those items is relatively high and probably always will be. That being said though, neither of those headpieces is worth 100k. The blindfold is still not dyeable, and the dread mask doesn't suit bugger all.

I'm all for making these things drop in the other Charr dungeons. Not in the outdoors, that'd make it too easy, but definately in the dungeons.

Plenty of 600's run the CoF. As was pointed out, they simply don't take others. The chalices and relics are the only thing keeping the run worthwhile.

Even if/when SF/600 get nuked the relics and chalices should stay where they are. Those pieces of headgear are considered prestigious for a reason.

Meant to work this way. Want them to cost less? Make a 600, start running people again, brings more of them into the game.

These items being hard to get was the point of giving them a low drop rate.

i get these in abundance in that dungeon. usually 2-3 each per run. most only charge 1-2k for them. seems a fine price for how few you need.
